NAMASTE CHITLANG

It’s nearly ten AM on a hazy Sunday morning as Rabindra and I ride past from our college located in Maitidevi in Kathmandu. From the outside, the college was not properly constructed. It was on under-construction but it was our college where we will be getting our bachelor’s degree.

We were planning to go ahead Chitlang and Markhu for the adventurous ride and celebration of my birthday.

“It’s party time,” joked Rabindra. Neither of us have ever been to the Chitlang – and Markhu.

“Oh! Yeah!” I added. It was my 20th birthday and I was feeling more mature, as if my years of all-night partying were surely behind me.

Before starting our journey towards the destination we planned to take a coffee. Coffee has become our best part to start the day. We always take a coffee before we used to do anything special such as a new journey or the new destination.

We took half of an hour to decide what we are going to do in Chitlang & Markhu and what are the necessity things we should carry for the destination? After we finalized the thing that are necessary for the destination, we ride our bike forward to the Bhadrakali petrol pump.

After riding twenty minute a bike we reached the petrol pump and filled our tank completely. Now it was our time to move ahead. Saying good-bye to the petrol pump we move forward towards our destination. We were travelling in a same bike because I don’t have my personal bike. Rabindra was the rider and I was the guy, looking for the way in the google map and I was telling him the location.

We both have the smiley face on each because it was my birthday celebration and we were travelling towards the destination that we were planning since the long period of time. There was the bad part of our destination i.e. the road. The road was not fully pitched which makes us delay on different places to reach.

After the long ride around four hours we finally reached in Chitlang. As per the plan we went to the Chitlang height. We found that the places were cold and the wind was hitting us very badly. But we didn’t care about the winds and look around, we found the awesome view that we have never seen in our life experiences.

All around that places we saw the many beautiful houses and the trees were so greenery that we felt in love with the nature. There was the tree about 25ft long which was the indicator of the Chitlang height. In this places many of the movie were shooted and the scene was fabulous. As the same way we both took some of the picture on the spot for the memory in the future. When we were shooting our photo there were few other visitors who were hanging around with us and from the same visitors somebody told that there is another place called Bede-chaur where the farmers were doing the Goat farming.

It was about five minute far from there. I told to Rabindra why not we go there? He said we are going there and we moved on. When we reached there we found that it was the one big hill were there was more than five hundred goats and they were playing here and there. I tried to contact with some of the farmer there and one of the farmer said that all area i.e. Bede-chaur is controlled by the municipality of that place.

We sat down talking with the farmer for half of an hour and did research on Chitlang and Bede-chaur. We got many information that helps for blogging in my website. Rabindra and I were there for fixed period of time so we didn’t sit anymore and headed toward the Markhu.

The way we were traveling to Markhu was under construction which made us more adventurous and the road side greenery was providing the different fragment of the flower and the tree which was providing us the more energy to get there at Markhu as much as fast we can.

Yeah! Fragment provided us so much energy that we finally reached to the Markhu. On the way we were very curious, that what will be there and what are we are doing there?

When we reached at Markhu, we found the man made river and a lots of people were boating there. We two were very excited to do boating. We went in the counter and book two ticket for the ticket. We seem to be very happy to get the ticket and being in a ready position for the ride a boat on the water.

The boat-man was very romantic and experienced, that the journey in the water was more enjoyable. We didn’t know how the one hours of boating ended. While we were boating there I had a feeling that if there were more advanced technology of boat people won’t go to the foreign country for the boating. I was feeling sorry for that moment. I hope that the community of Markhu place will soon bring the new advanced boat in the water and by seeing that attraction people may visit their time and again.

Taking the one hours boating we felt hungrier and tired. So we contact the boat-man and we went for the restaurant for killing the hunger. We ordered the food and it was really so delicious and not much expensive. Having the fresh food, there was more energy to travel more places but unfortunately the time has taken lead to five PM and we were in limited budget, so planned to move to the home town…..
